A couple of weeks ago, my mom & I decided to have a foodie adventure! Thankfully, I had some special gems bookmarked on my Yelp account, so I chose "Maniac Mike's" for us. This place is so unique & nostalgic! (Although I didn't grow up in the 1940's or 1950's, my soul feels like I'm from that time, so nostalgia it is :P) You guys definitely have to come here--where else do you get to sit right next to an runway & watch these vintage flyers take off? It was absolutely beautiful! In a span of about 1 hour, we were able to watch 10 of these beauties touch the sky. Its a great experience and the food tastes like a real home cooked meal. Its in Upland..tucked away at a remote looking area. What a surprise when you walk in though! Can you imagine how beautiful it must look in winter? *Cue Bette Midler song "And the snow capped mountains whiiiiiiiite" Anyhoos! I'm kinda glad my camera ran out of memory..my mom wanted to take a picture with every single plane & at all the RANDOMEST places hahaha... gotta love her. Well, till next time! :)

No wonder Cable Airport sounded familiar! I was in Upland 3 weekends ago {june.30} for a wedding at Foothill Bible Church just down the street & scoping for a spot for me & Micah to eat :) I saw that place on Yelp but since we were low on time we had to opt for some fast food. The whole adventure sounds darling though :)
